Like many sex bloggers out there I'm a big advocate of safe, non-toxic, sex toys, and you might have noticed this from the references scattered throughout my reviews and all across Twitter. Thanks to the work of many dedicated sex educators out there, both in the industry and the blogosphere, people are gaining a much greater knowledge about all the different materials that are used in the production of sex toys. There's an increased awareness of those materials that should be avoided altogether, those that are safe for external use but not recommended for insertion, and those which can be sterilised and shared with a partner vs those which cannot. This is a positive thing, but you can only put any of this to use if you're also knowledgeable about precisely what your toys are made of to begin with, and you'd think that that would be as easy to find out as looking the products up on a retailer's website. As I found out today there's some confusion which makes things not quite so simple.

It had almost slipped my mind, but it was three years ago this month that I decided to be adventurous and buy my first ever dildo, back on the 4th May 2011, so I thought I'd share a photo I took later that year of my original sex toy collection. (click to enlarge)
It's funny because I still remember this scene fondly and how I came to own the individual pieces, and I'll briefly recap the history of each one below.

There comes a point when you've tried as many different sex toys as I have that you start to get a pretty good idea of what works and what doesn't, from the shape of things to their functionality, and you begin to wish you could make little changes to the products you already own, or even combine the features of two toys together to create something entirely new.
I thought I might try out a new segment on my blog called "Make Me a Sex Toy", where I cobble together something that I'd like to see in the future, something that I'd put into production if I worked for one of these companies, and here's the first instalment.

This month the lovely Hella from ElectraStim (whose name I find myself wanting to yell out in the manner of Stanley Kowalski from Tennessee Williams' "A Streetcar Named Desire") got in touch with me and asked if I'd care to review one of their products, and of course I jumped at the chance, never being one to turn down the opportunity for a new experience.
Electro-stimulation devices have been something that I've been aware of for a while, but up until now I've never tried one because they've always seemed to be something of a niche product in a market dominated by all things vibrating. Without wanting to give away too much too soon, now that I've tried one I have to say that that's a notion which really needs to change.

Apparently if there's one thing more than any other that I just can't get enough of then it's these realistic dildos from Fleshjack, because it's about to be that time again. Here is my seventh review of one of these toys, and this time the penis in question belongs to one of Belami Online's few American actors, Mick Lovell.

Last October I reviewed my first ever paddle, the Wham Bam, and then over Christmas Tantus kindly decided to send me another one, the all new Plunge Paddle, so it's time to take a look and see how the two compare.
