Kevin Warhol Dildo

I received a wonderful prize in the post the other day, straight from the offices of Bel Ami Online in the Czech Republic, my very own Kevin Warhol dildo by Fleshjack. It's one of those things which goes to show that entering competitions on Twitter really can pay off. Huge thanks go out to the guys at Kinky Angels who sent this to me, as I really am going to treasure it.

For those who don't know who Kevin Warhol is he's an exclusive model for the Eastern-European gay porn production company Bel Ami, and features in their Kinky Angels series. He's also popped up in an issue of UK fashion magazine Coitus (of which I am an avid collector), as well as a few photography books such as the Blush of Youth which I reviewed a while back. I certainly count myself amongst one of his fans, which made winning this all the more exciting.

I'm sure that what you're all dying to know though is how his dildo performs, so without further ado!

Nexus G-Rider

This week the friendly folks over at SweetFun.co.uk have sent me a Nexus G-Rider vibrating prostate massager to try out. It's a toy I've been interested in for quite a while because of its rather appealing shape, so I relish the opportunity to put it through its paces. This is only the second product from Nexus that I've tried, after the Nexus Glide which I reviewed last year, but I do have my eye on the Nexus Revo 2 in the future.

BS is Nice Capsule Plug

The lovely Donna from Vibrator Kingdom got in touch with me recently and asked if I'd be interested in reviewing a product for her from BS is Nice. BS is Nice is a quirky little Spanish company which makes an assortment of unusual 100% silicone toys, including this Capsule plug, so I was quite eager to try it out.

Before I get onto the review I just want to make a quick mention of the packaging from Vibrator Kingdom because I was so impressed by it. Usually there isn't a great deal to say about how sex toy retailers ship their merchandise; you'll just get the standard discreet brown box with the item inside, so it's not really worth addressing. With Vibrator Kingdom it's a little different because they go to that extra effort with everything. The plug came to me carefully wrapped up in a sheet of decorative paper like a gift, complete with ribbon tied around it and a customised company tag with a handwritten "thank you" on the back. This in turn was bundled up in bubble wrap along with a heart-shaped lollipop and an embossed rubber bracelet, and placed inside the final layer of plain packaging. I couldn't get over how lovely it was; it felt like a really personal touch, and these are the sort of things which really draw me to shop with great independent companies such as Vibrator Kingdom

Silver Swan

This week I'm taking a look at the new range of luxury vibrators from Swan, the Canadian company behind the highly-regarded Leaf vibes (one of which I must get at some point). When a PR company got in contact with me recently and asked if I'd be interested in reviewing one I was happy to oblige.

The Swan collection is primarily aimed at women, though they do have a few products which would be suited to unisex use, such as the Tundra, the Mute, and the Trumpeter. I ended up receiving the Silver Swan, which as you can probably tell is your more traditional rabbit-style vibrator. I was a little apprehensive at first because of this fact, and worried that the review might end up being a little out of my comfort zone, but like all good stories there is in fact a twist, and later on I shall endeavour to explain why this toy is also rather man-friendly.

You may be thinking that you've seen this design somewhere before, and that's because in North America the whole collection is under licence to Jopen for their Vanity range. The only difference is that the Swan collection comes in fuchsia while the Vanity range is purple. The Silver Swan corresponds to the Vr3 for anyone who may be wondering.

One Year!

It's a little hard to believe but it's been a year already since I embarked on this project and first decided to start a blog. Since then things things have come a long way; my list of reviews has greatly expanded, I've branched out into toys I never thought I'd try, and I hope I've proven to be a useful resource for people out there looking for some reliable information. When you're sat there surrounded by a mountain of sex toys it's easy to forget what it was like when you first clicked onto a retailer's website and were overwhelmed with choice, but ill-equipped with knowledge. Every sex toy reviewer has made some bad purchase decisions in their past, and I think that that is a lot of the reason why we write, to help others to avoid those pitfalls. One of the most enduring things I've gained since starting this blog is all the friendships I've made with other people involved in this field, and I'm very grateful for that; I've even learnt to appreciate Twitter as a resource.

I'm going to have a quick recap of the past year, and then there's going to be what you've all been waiting for - a big anniversary giveaway! I'm doubling the prize from my half-year giveaway, so that's a whopping $100 gift voucher that one lucky person will be walking away with.

Oxballs Nuttsling

The fabulous folks over at UberKinky got in touch recently and asked if I'd be interested in doing a review of one of their ball stretchers for them. Ball stretching isn't really an activity I'd given much thought to before, but when I saw that the product in question was from Oxballs I immediately felt good about giving it a shot.

Tantus Silicone Anal Beads

What better way to kick off February than with a review for an all new Tantus toy, kindly provided to me courtesy of the wonderful folks at SexToys.co.uk. Of all the things in my now-vast toy collection anal beads aren't something that I've had a lot of experimentation with, so I was rather pleased when I got the news that I'd be testing out this particular piece. Check out the review after the jump!
